How do you compare with santro and wagon R (petrol) . Milage/AC/Comfort/space

l currently own a Santro Xing (XG) with comes with most comforts powersteering ,power windows(front) ,AC & stuff.in my home town my aunt has a wagon R VX fully loaded.but still it has same power windows (front) only.two seats at back ..AC both r powerful.nice acceleration wiith both but their milege is 12 where as mine touch 14-15 generally & 18 in highways..so l think Santro is better.they have launched a new wagon R looks gud but still time will tell can iit beat santro in all aspects

in all aspects santro is THE BEST.

u can never say which one is the best because both comes in the same B segment section. nowadays car makers focus a lot on the performance of the A/c, so l do not think there is much difference in both cars' A/c, both will be surely powerful. Comfort & space wise Wagon R will surely win! because it is obvious. all know about the space & height of this car for better comfort, & santro is a small car. santro gives better mileage because it has a small engine & also the power is much lesser than wagon r, so it will be more economical, & moreover wagon r has got newer & better looks than its old model, & yea..afterall.japanese cars (suzuki) r always the winners in reliability & quality which u can trust on & korean cars r nowhere near suzuki & so buy a suzuki buddy!!
PS: try the new swift too

Hmmm. l own a 2002 model santro & went thru the same problem while deciding which one to buy. Some of the points that got me hooked to the santro are

1. Santro is more spacious than a Wagon R
2. Looks better than a Wagon R & not boxy
3. Hate the utility console in Wagor R which is below the stearing wheel - my feet would hit them constantly.
4. Better Resale value for Santro
5. Atleast one km extra mileage on Santro
6. Looks even better when modified
7. Still has international technology backing unlike the maruthi cars which r totally indegineous
8. Suspension is much more sturdy than a Wagon R. Tested this myself with 5 people & luggage for travel from Mangalore to Bangalore. Had no problems at all even in the Ghat section.
