How is the fuel efficience of swift and performance

well am an engineer with maruti udyog limited and swift gives 9-14 km per litre.

in city conditions with your AC on it will give 9-10 kmpl

on highways with AC on it gives 12-14 kmpl.

about performance ..its a 1.3 l engine with 88 bhp and 0-60 kmph in 5 seconds

Dude. Even though Swift is a nice & attractive looking car.. it still has a couple of drawbacks.
The first being mileage cos everyone gives a different answer.

Like the engineer has said.. City use its only about 10kms & highway is about 13kms. Thought it would give more cos of its power to weight ratio when compared to esteem. Its the same esteem engine modified to fit this car & since esteem is heavier than Swift the mileage should have been more. My Esteem itself give me 12kms in city & 14kms on highway use.

The rear visibility is also very poor due to its small rear window.

So pls check with u'r friends who have used it before jumping into one. or u will have to get gas fixed in it.

Performance is Very good l mean to say this car rocks as u n ur car gets synchronised.
a 1300cc engine dont expect any thing more than 15km/l
well if u maintain the engine rpm to 3000(on highways ac off) this will definitely give 15+ milage thats what my swift zxi is giving but no sudden braking

if u want milage n performance ur car is wagonR vxi/wagonR DUO lxi
comfort ac powerful than swift a little narrow so easy to handle
powerful engine interior(almost) n seats the same
look wise dont say wagonr is ugly
it has its own beauty
projections of straight lines just classic
swift is beautiful too
i own both the carsn
both r very good
