Is Maruti going to discontinue Baleno in the near future? If so when & with which model it will be replaced?

in jan 2006 suzuki japan launched a new car named
MRwagon
now it will be launched by marutisuzuki within 2 months but its name will be ZEN in INDIA

and one of whe suzuki japan is suv is will be replacing it

it was heard Suzuki Liana will come in place of Baleno. It is already in european markets and would might hit indian roads as well. and the suv is also on the plan to be launched soon in future.

the current model is going to be discontinued & a new model of the baleno will be launched sometime in mid 2007, it will target the city, it shall offer space & comfort to match optra & corolla.it will have a 2.0 litre engine with 140 bhp.. should be for abt 7 lakhs as the base price & will localise parts heavily to bring down costs.. the car looks great on my personal opinion.. the company feels the pressure to wake up to be an active part of the trend changing market & thats the reason we see so many changes in maruti models in recent times.. incase u want to buy the current model for any reason pick it up just before the new one rolls in & avail maximum dscounts
