l am thinking of buying a 2005 WagonR Lxi. But the problem is the rear seats. They are bucket seats, whereas l actually want them to be a continuous type one, which comes with the new models like duo. Can the present ones be replaced with the new types ? Do they recline in the same way as the old ones ? Also what would be the approx cost to do this alteration. ?

While l am not familiar with the old WagonR, l suspect the present owner has replaced the original seats with rear bucket seats. l also hope u r not looking at a folding type of seats.
Of course, the seats can be replaced, but l am not sure of the costs - my guesstimate is that it willb e upwards of 8K for entire seat (not just the upholstery). If u search around enough, u may get a seat discarded somebody who replaced his OE seats. Full seats (across the width of the car) would not be reclinable, but r usually foldable.
