Indica will satisfy 1 & 5 only..
Estilo, WagonR & Santro for 6
Alto for 1 & 2
i10 for 2 & 3
Swift (Diesel) will satisfy all the above points.

All small cars (which runs on Petrol) will give following average milage

City Limits - 12KMPH in Ac & 15 in Non ac
Outer - 15 in AC & 18 in Non ac..

So, for what purpose u r going to own the car???? Then decide ur car.

If you wish to get a diesel car then go for Indica. Its comfortable and have a decent leg room and there are decent number of authorised service centers. If its a petrol car go for WagonR. Good leg room and a decent milage and hell a lot of service centers.

The best small car in town is none other than ALTO.But it has same old school engine from M-800 with four valves per cylinder been added..itz give good miles/litr approx:17kmpl.

Santro is good city cum highway car made of good seating position good ground clearance.. good engine power mileage approx:15kmpl.IT has smooth engine repairs r less costly.go for SANTRO if u r a begineer even

Donot consider TATA`s u will uncharted visits fuel & service stations.
USE always SHELL engine oils for optimum engine life with NGK splugs.

l Was owning an 800,ALTO now USING i10 KAPPA. u revert me any DOUBT!!!

l think u should but alto its comfortable to drive and good 4 those who wany yo buy small cars.

its cost is also less it will cost u between 2-3 lakhs delux modle, where as wagon-R is aslo nice but it will cost u between 5 lakh n above.

Dear, it depends whats ur daily milage of travelling. If u r moving long distances & approx 2000 kms & above ina month go for Indica Diesel or if ur budget is 2.5 lacs go for Alto if u r ready to pay more i.e. around 3.65 lacs then go for Indigo sedan coz if u r going for wagon r or Santro its better to put some more & move in Sedan. best wishes hope this season u will buy something of ur taste.
optherwise WagonR is the best choice..but if u can wait go for marutis new A star.

Well both the cars have their own good points & bad points.
A Comparison between the Santro & The rest:

1.A good engine in the santro(good power to weight ratio,better mileage & acceleration).
2.slam the accelerator(no need to floor) & u can feel the torque in the santro compared to the indica,alto & the wagon-r(less gear changes,transmission lasts for longer time).
3.the gear is a short throw one,less effort in shifting the gears.
4.a rigid suspension setup that allows u to corner & brake faster without jeopardising ur life.(The setup is ages ahead of the indica,here the indica loses badly).
5.mileage is good in the santro(10-12 kms/ltr in city,16+ kms/ltr on highways),the indica xeta gives an ok mileage(upto 11kms/ltr in the city & at the max 14 on highway,this is because the car is heavier).
6.The servicing network is good for the santro by the hyundai ppl,they offer things like free monsoon checkups & things like that,where they also replace ur wiper blades,rotate the tire positions without labour costs.This is where the indica is the worst hit first of all reliability is a big issue with the indica,to add to its demerit the servicing network is quite poor as they share resources with the FIAT palio.The prices of the indica Xeta spare parts r the highest among all the small cars.The alto & the wagon-r r comparatively better than the indica in this aspect.
7.The Santro is a trouble free vehicle,best for city driving,also good in the highway where quick overtakes r necessary.( l have not changed the battery & stuff & its still striding on finely into its 4th year,my mom is got an alto which needed a battery change in 1 & a half yrs).
8.Its got a high bonnet line so u do not have too guess for the front end of the car.Also u can have a greater road presence than rest,in the indica u have to keep guessing where the bonnet ends,so u end up scraping the front a lot while parking or driving in a bumper to bumper jam.

The Wagon R
Its a good car,
1.decent mileage
2.Real good body balance (ie a good stability while negotiating sharp turns),though roles more than the alto,but does not belly dance like the indica.
3.cheap parts
4.Good servicing network
5.the option of driving on a cheaper fuel(only on the wagon-r duo,lpg)
6.The gear box is a long throw,(ie more effort required in shifting gears,tiring to drive in the cities).

Worst come u do not want any of the driving pleasures let alone the comforts without any hesitation go for the alto it will serve the purpose for travelling from point A to point B without any drama. l would prefer it over the indica XETA even the vista as Maruti has more service centres & has much better after sales servicing & reliability.Which the TATAs don't,even after taking over Landrover & Jaguar.

Now it totally depends if u want to save money for nxt 2 yrs of petrol then go for the indica but u will be gambling with its unreliability & sky high prices of spares.But then if u r going to travel with 5 adults in the car then go for the indica xeta which has the space.

If u want something that will serve u right when u need it to & with better peace of mind go for the santro.Here is my story,it was 8pm l was returning home after thunder showers & as usual most of Calcutta was water logged. l was wading through the water in the car,headlamps on,slowly l was feeling that the headlamps were dimming out. l realized that the bonnet was under water when it was creeping even higher. l think that is a test of reliability.All other make of cars maruti,honda,indica(call center cars here & some ac taxis),.were stuck & they had got water in the engines.The santro went on & l reached home safely.

Ooh if u plan to keep this car for more than 5 yrs then go for the santro that will save u money in the long run,if for around 2-3 yrs then go for the indica as u need the space & u might not face such horrors of water logging.

Please close ur eyes & buy a Santro Xing! It has many pluses apart from having a good resale value.

Why -

Alto -- Maruti car with good resale & good mileage no doubt but there r lot of negatives.
1. It has very low ground clearance & the ride is bumpy
2. Looks r dated
3. Maruti cars r not known for their strong body, also after say 2-3 years or some 20000 kms u would find lots of sounds coming from the car. Leave aside Alto even Swifts r know for that.
4. Gear shifts r not that good, it vibrates a lot too.
5. It is underpowered

Maruti Zen - It WAS an awesome car but outdated now, u can get only a 2nd hand car

Maruti Zen estillo - Its looks r Yukks(its personal feling). It is no where near the old zen & santro is anytime better than this car in most of the cases.

Chevrolet Spark - Its good car & VFM but without any resale value. The space is less too. Also l do not like the console(speedo) at the center of the dashboard.

Indica Vista is a very good car but again the console is in the center. Also as it is a biger car it would cost u more & TATAs r not known for their very good after sales service. You should compare Vista with the like of Fabia, Getz Prime, Swift, U-VA etc.

So what r we left with the friendly Santro! The highest model for santro comes at 4 Lakhs on-road!

Why Santro

Its has a tall boy structure with a solid body. It is stable & good for city as well as occasional highway travel.
Long life, good front & rear space as well as boot.
Looks r good & hyundai service is very reliable.
Gearing, AC, others r all good.

If u can shell out some 30K more can go for i10 iRDE too, its an awesome car even better than Santro.

A Santro would be nice because of the milage

well before two months l would have choosed alto amongst all

but the things r changed

now it is the choice on the all new indica vista present with both petrol saffire & diesel quadrejet engines

it is most powerful among these cars

and its looks wowowowow
just like Aishwarya Rai.


vista is mileage is quite good between 12-18 km-pl in petrol & 15-20 kmpl in diesel.

so l would surely prefer the new technically advanced tata indica vista aura,tera or aqua.
