Alto lx.

Alto Lx is quite good. AC is very effective and it has a five speed gearbox. Mileage is also good. Its about Rs. 270000

l think alto is better.it has better mileage and u can travel in a good speed

The maruti alto is a better vehicle any day for the following reasons:
1.It has got an extra valve in each cylinder ,making it 3 valves per cylinder.(bit more powerful than 800);
2.it has a longer & well balanced chasis(more stable than 800).
3.The plastic quality in the interiors is better than 800.
4.incase of head-on collision the maruti alto is having more chances of surviving as it has a longer crumple zone.
5.while turning sharply on wet roads the alto skids lesser than the 800.(reason unknown,but this happens to be true).
6.The AC in alto is very powerful compared to that of 800,which has very bad acceleration when AC is switched on.
7.The boot space is marginally bigger in alto.
8.On highway both give almost the same mileage.
9.If u use the AC frequently then u will see that there is no difference in mileage between both cars,infact the alto gives more decent figures.
If u can stretch ur budget a bit more l will suggest u to buy the Santro as it is much more value for money than these 2 cars.
If u r buying from these 2 cars only then go for the alto as it is a newer vehicle than 800.Test drive both the vehicles before buying them.Do not let drivre drive the vehicle for 1st 2000 Kms.U drive it yourself & carefully & slowly this will help in the future mileage of the vehicle.

alto as its is more pwrful bettr 2driv n good ac..it hs largr boot n safer..bt bit heavy sterrin..if u cn stretch up2 rs 3.10lacs go 4 alto lxi as it hs pwr steerin 2

maruti alto is 800 times better than maruti 800 in every aspect............

the alto lx will be better than maruti 800 because it has maore milage but it comes in 3laks.

alto is a good choice

but if l can increase ur budged to about 360000 u can buy a wagon r lxi model

or else alto vxi would be a good buy for 310000
