i m confused between alto top model and wagonr top model. which one is better

go for wagonr if price & looks not an issue..

Definitely the Wagon R counts in as better amongst the 2 models you have mentioned.

WR definitely does have a smoother and more refined engine, better looks and better ride control than Alto. Price is on the higher side than Alto, but l would say, its worth the money.

Of course WagonR is better than Alto if u compare Engine, Technology etc.
Alto is just a refined copy of Maruti 800 i.e. Alto has Maruti 800 MPF l (Multi-Point Fuel Injection) engine with improved features.

l am using WagonR as well as Maruti 800.

l found WagonR little bit uncomfortable. l have observed that while changing gear from 3rd to 4th & 4th to 5th gear it takes 1 second break.
Secondly, it seems pretty unstable vehicle, while overtaking other vehicles on the highway.
Also l am not able to see any thing at the back of the Car while backing up the car. The window at the back is too small to see anything at the back, also, it gets covered with the seats at the back, the driver is hardly able to see anything at the back of the car.
You can see 90% of WagonR is have dents on the back.

Also, the pillar on the driver side is an obstruction to see on the right side of the vehicle which makes the car much dangerous.

Petrol Consumption

WagonR (in city) 14 Km/L (on highway) 20.3 Km/L

Alto/Maruti 800 (in city) 18 Km/L (on highway) 22.72 Km/L

l would suggest u to buy Alto. Alto is pretty smooth car & has less drawbacks than WagonR.
Do not get confused WagonR is an unstable vehicle.
If l would have been you, l would have gone for Alto.

INSTEAD OF ALTO, WAGONR IS BETTER.

See brother let me tell u something related to both the cars..first alto
its top end model is lxi...its price is 3.09lakhs on road delhi.
its positives r great fuel economy 17+ & for its value for money
its negatives r It has the same engine as that of a maruti 800 which is a 796cc engine but this has 47 bhp compared to 37 in the maruti.
but maruti also has better milage then of 19+.so u r giving about 70 thousand more for buying a car which looks a bit different than the maruti & has nearly the same engine(maruti is 2.35 lakhs for ac version)

then is tha wagon r
its topend model is vxi if u would exclude axi...
price is 4.03 lakhs..
but for that u get a rear deffoger,power windows,a 1000 cc engine which has 64 bhp, power windows rear wash wipe as well..
and the average is not bad also 16+..
so u do get more for more money...
well the aspects r in frount of u & if l had to buy one either of the two then it would be the wagonr as it is a better car...

you can opt for wagonR instead of alto. wagonR has a high roof which will not hurt your head when the car fastly crosses a speed breaker. And alto is like a match box very tiny so there space will not be comfortable and legroom is very small in alto. WagonR is nice great pickup and a wonderful mileage than alto. But alto looks some what stylish than wagonR. And again say that WagonR is the best to buy than Alto.

Wagon R is better.
But if you can spend more go for Hyundai i10.
